Summer Camp Come spend your summer with the Hopewell Valley YMCA and build friendships that will last forever. The Hopewell Valley YMCA Summer Fun Camp is a State Licensed Day Camp and accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA). American Camp Association (ACA) accreditation is voluntary and it means we meet over 300 standards in health and safety, which allows us to provide a better camp environment for your camper. Our staff is highly trained and ready to make summer a memorable one for every camper. The energetic staff will lead the campers in fun activities each day. Campers will enjoy weekly swimming as well as weekly trips and daily snacks, in addition to the special activities that are scheduled.
Special Activities:
Arts & Crafts – Projects are created in correlation to the age group and themes.
Games & More – Campers will participate in various games and activities
Sports – Campers will learn about and play different sports during the weeks as well as create some of their own.
Wiz Kids – Campers will get a chance to be little scientist by participating and
            making their own science creations.

Camp Location: Toll Gate Grammar School, 275 South Main Street, Pennington

Camp Hours:

7:30 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. Early Morning Care (EMC)
8:30 a.m.- 6:00 p.m. Camp Day

General Information     
Camp Open House: Friday, February 5, 2010 from 6:30-8:30pm at Toll Gate Grammar Cafeteria.              

Camp Rates: $255 per camper, per week

Registration/Payment Policies

  • Register by February 26th and receive $50 discount on your registration per camper
  • Checks should be made payable to: HV YMCA
  • A Hopewell Valley YMCA membership is required for all campers.  Memberships must be valid through the child’s last day of camp.

Youth Membership:  $40 (Annual Fee, non-refundable)
Family Membership: $88 (Annual Fee, non-refundable)

  • A $50 per week non-refundable, non-transferable deposit is required at the time of registration.  Deposits are applied to each session’s balance.
  • Payment 1 (Weeks 1 – 5) is due by June 14th
  • Payment 2 (Weeks 6 – 10) is due by July 12th
  • A $25 per session late fee will be charged for all payments made after the dates listed.
  • All changes require a NEW completed registration form, submitted to the main office (fax: 609-737-8081) by Thursday at 12pm (at the latest) prior to the week of coverage needed.  Accommodations depend on available space.
  • Camp registration packets will be emailed to the address provided on the registration form in early May.  If an email address is not provided you will receive a packet in the mail in early May.
  • Camp cancellations in writing will be issued a refund, less the deposit, if received two (2) weeks prior to the camp week.  No credit or refund will be granted if withdrawal is within two weeks of the camp.
  • In the case of a child being removed from camp, there will be no refund of camp fees for the period concerned.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

The Hopewell Valley YMCA is committed to serving our community.  Based on the availability of funds, financial assistance will be available to assist with camp tuition costs.  Applications are available on the website (www.hvymca.org).  All applications must be submitted no later than June 4, 2010.

 

Sibling Discount

Families with siblings registering for any camp (excludes Teen Adventure Camp) the SAME WEEK(S) will receive a 10% reduction on camp fees for the oldest child(ren) (the youngest child will be charged at full rate); excludes Early Morning Camp (EMC).

 

Children’s paperwork

Camp registration packets must be submitted to the HV YMCA by June 11th.  If forms are not completed and submitted the HV YMCA will not permit them to start camp.  All paperwork is required as a part of our State License and American Camp Association (ACA) Accreditation.  (If your child(ren) is(are) enrolled after June 11th, all paperwork must be immediately returned with payment.) All children will need an ACA doctors form completed and signed with immunization records attached (Hopewell Valley YMCA will provide this form).

 

Note: Summer Fun Camp and Sports Camp are joined between the hours of 8:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. and after 4:00 p.m. Sports skills are organized 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
