Mission Statement: The Hopewell Valley YMCA is a charitable organization dedicated to building a healthy spirit, mind, and body through programs which promote good health, strong families, youth leadership, and community development.  YMCA's are open to men, women, and children of all ages, abilities, races, and religions.

The Hopewell Valley YMCA is proud to serve Hopewell, Hopewell Valley, Pennington, and Titusville in New Jersey. We are a "Y without walls" meaning we operated in many different rented locations through out the area. Our main administrative offices are located at 62 South Main Street in Pennington, NJ. Our administrative staff is based here, and we accept program registrations at this location.

Membership

Annual Membership Rates, as of January 1, 2012

Family $93.00 (Two adults living together and children under the age of 18; 22 years of age if full-time student)
Adult: $58.00 (18 year and older)
Youth: $44.00 (17 years and under)
Away Member: Must be able to prove current Full Privilege Membership with photo I.D

Program / Class Fees

  • All program/class listings are followed by a fee schedule.teengroup
  • All fees must be paid in full at time of registration.
  • Payments are accepted by cash (exact change only), check, or credit card (Visa, MasterCard: Sorry we no longer accept American Express nor Discovery Cards)
  • A $25 fee will be assessed for returned checks.
  • Financial Assistance is available.
  • Applications are available at the YMCA main office at 62 South Main Street, or by calling (609)737-3048. The application process is confidential

Financial Assistance

Financial assistance is available to those in need. The YMCA keeps kids safe at after school programs and summer camp, develops teen leaders, and supports active older adults through fitness and volunteer opportunities. Financial assistance is made possible through the generous support of members, individuals, and businesses. Financial assistance applications are available at YMCA child care sites and at our main office at 62 South Main Street, or by calling (609) 737-3048. The application process is confidential.

Registration Requirements

  • In order to register for a YMCA program, membership must be current and paid in full at time of registration, and must be valid through the last day of the program.
  • All programs require pre-registration. Register in advance by mail, by fax or in person at 62 South Main Street.
  • No registrations/payments will be accepted at program sites. Instructors/Coordinators will not accept registrations or payments.
  • Participant is registered only when paid in full.
  • Most classes have a pre-set minimum/maximum number of participants to ensure high quality of service. Please register early to ensure desired classes are available.
  • Many classes fill quickly. Register early!
  • Wait lists will be maintained for full classes.
  • Additional sections of a program will be added if possible.

Late Fees

A $20 late fee will be assessed for any registration received after the advertised registration deadline.

Insufficient Enrollment Policy

  • The YMCA reserves the right to cancel a program due to insufficient enrollment.
  • A full refund or letter of credit will be given to each participant.

Inclement Weather/Emergency Closing

Weather cancellations and emergency closings will be announced on the office voice mail, 609-737-3048, at least one (1) hour before the program/class start.

Credit & Refunds

  • Refund requests must be in writing and will be given only if received 24 hours (M-F only) prior to the first day of class. A 10% administration fee will be deducted.
  • No refunds will be given after a program has started. Credits will be issued only for extended injury/illness and with a doctor’s note.
  • For Child Care credits and refunds, please contact the School-Age Director (609)737-3048.

YMCA Opportunities

  • Volunteer: Coach, help in the office, work at a special event, organize equipment and supplies, help your community.
  • Employment: The Hopewell Valley YMCA is looking for energetic community members who are interested in working with children. Now accepting applications for fall sport instructors, before- & after-school staff.
